La Traversée de Paris takes its name from the 1956 film that tells the story of two men smuggling pork through an occupied city under the cover of night. Today, smuggling has given way to million-euro cars—driven through Paris and parked in Meudon so that everyone can enjoy their sandwiches on the grass.
